Mural Painting Workshop
Artist:Melanie Pereira Alves
Time: 2pm
Melanie Pereira Alves is a Portuguese-American artist. She studied Fine Arts at the University of Porto as well as at ENSBA in Paris and ENSBA in Bordeaux, France.
After finishing her degree, she lived in London for several years and later in San Francisco.? In 2019, she decided to return to her roots and create community artworks, sharing her life stories through Art. Most of her influence comes from the interplay of performance and installation art, the movement and the voyeurism of video art, and the marginality of street art.?For her, concept is queen, so the idea will dictate the best medium to materialize her vision.
Cyanotype Workshop
Artist: Rui Dias Monteiro
Time: 2pm
Rui Dias Monteiro is a visual artist, photographer and poet. He completed the Advanced Course of Photography and Individual Project at Ar.Co - Centro de Arte e Comunicação Visual, and did a Post-Graduation in Discourses of Contemporary Photography at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon. Also in 2016, he received the BF16 - Vila Franca de Xira Photography Biennial Award. With the support of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, she participated in 2017 in the artist residency program of the Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado (FAAP), in São Paulo. In 2019, also in São Paulo, she was artist in residence at Pivô Pesquisa and integrated the Centro de Pesquisa Teatral (CPTzinho), directed by Antunes Filho, at SESC Consolação. Among others, he published the books "Sob cada erva" (STET, 2014), "Fazer fogo à noite" (non-editions, 2014), and "João José Maria Calhau" (author's edition, 2020).
Galaxies Painting Workshop
Artist: Maria Sassetti
Time: 3.30pm
Maria Sassetti was born in Lisbon, in 1986. She studied Painting in Lisbon, at Faculdade de Belas-Artes, and in London, at Chelsea College of Art and Design. Since 2007 she has participated in several national and international exhibitions, in solo and co-authored projects, developing a body of work that discusses the conditions of space, memories and narratives of places, ephemeral situations and tension. He is a founding member of the collective Tempos de Vista. He interned at the Wave Hill Cultural Center in New York City and did scene design and performance for Mythological Suites.
Banana Piano Workshops
Artist: Carolina Hermenegildo
Time: 3.30pm
Carolina Hermenegildo is a Lisbon-based multidisciplinary designer motivated to create narratives for social inclusion and dynamism through design, exploring dynamism through tools such as electronics, photography, set design and performing arts. She graduated in Design at the University of Évora, and deepened her knowledge in Product Design at the Royal College of Art, London.
