João Espadinha is a Portuguese guitarist, born in 1991. Born in Cascais, he started playing guitar at the age of 12. During that period he establishes contact with musicians of different nationalities and cultures, which is one of the most enriching elements of his experience. It is this context that inspires him to work on his own music, later forming his group, with which he performs live on several occasions, both in the Netherlands and in Portugal. At the end of 2017, he released his first album “Kill the boy”, which is well received by critics and presented live in houses such as Hot Clube de Portugal, Cine-Teatro Avenida, Titanic Sur Mer, among others. One year later, he received support from the GDA Foundation for phonographic editing, with his next album scheduled for release in late 2020.In this concert the guitarist will present themes from his first album, as well as new compositions that will integrate his next work. Music that expresses a diversity of influences, from the most traditional jazz to the music of songwriters like Jorge Palma or Bob Dylan.
